Dear Mr. Ping Lacson,
DIGNITY.
This really caught my attention.
Tell me, Mr. Lacson, when the Senators MANGLED AND MUTILATED the 2024 national budget (sure BICAM, but Senate is part of it), did their actions preserve the dignity of the Senate?
The Foreign Assisted Projects of DPWH (including big flood control projects) amounting to P70 billion and that of DOTr na almost P150 billion were ZEROED OUT by Congress in 2024 GAA. NILIPAT nila sa Unprogmammed Appropriations ang mga big infrastructure projects na ito na siguradong magbibigay GINHAWA sa mga Pilipino. INUNA nila ang kanilang "pork barrel" insertions na P224 billion for DPWH and hundreds of billions in other agencies. And the Congress even instructed DOF to get the excess fund of GOCCs of which Philhealth is one to augment and fund the Unprogmammed Appropriations.
One of these big ticket infrastructure projects is the Project of the Century- the Metro Manila Subway which will give P2.5 billion a day economic benefits once finished.
Sa kasakiman ng mga mambabatas (you know very well), maraming buhay ang naapektuhan sa matinding pagbabaha. Ilang buhay ang nawala? Ilan mga bata at magulang ang naulila?
Did your well praised dear former colleague, Senator Risa Hontiveros stand up for Senate to preserve its dignity and mandate for the Filipino people?
Many of these projects were started by the Duterte Administration. They worked so hard, sweat and blood to have these projects brought to the realm of reality.
The Former President Duterte cursed as he was retelling his rage of the criminals in the Senate hall, too bad he should have cursed also, in behalf of us, the INEFFICIENT and DISHONORABLE Senators na hindi ginampanan ang kanilang trabaho para sa kapakanan ng mamamayang Pilipino.
Si Former President Duterte minura ang mga kriminal. Ang Kongreso po hindi nga nagmumura pero harap-harapang BINABABOY, PINAGSASAMANTAHAN ang mga Pilipino.
Mr. Lacson, with all due respect, mga Senador po mismo ang hindi nagbibigay dignidad sa Senado.
